AY 25-26 End of the Year Letter: Celebrating a Year of Ideas and Impact
May 6, 2026
Dear Friends,
As we close the 2025–26 academic year, I find myself reflecting on what has truly been a remarkable and record-setting year for the Weidenbaum Center. This year, we hosted an exceptional series of conversations that brought together leading voices from across the political and policy spectrum. We welcomed policymakers, scholars, and thought leaders for discussions that were substantive, civil, and deeply relevant to the most pressing issues of our time. It was especially meaningful to celebrate this extraordinary year together at our annual reception. The evening offered a chance to reflect on what this community has built and to honor Professor Steve Fazzari for his remarkable career and lasting impact on WashU.
This was an amazing year and none of this would have been possible without you. Your presence, your curiosity, and your willingness to engage thoughtfully are what make the Weidenbaum Center what it is. We are deeply grateful. Quite simply, we cannot do this well without you.
Thank you again for being part of this community and for supporting our work. We hope you will continue to join us in the year ahead and bring friends and colleagues with you. With the upcoming midterm election cycle, the conversations we host will be as important as ever, and we are committed to providing a forum for thoughtful, bipartisan dialogue.
I hope you have a wonderful summer, and we cannot wait to see you in the fall.
With gratitude,
Andrew Reeves, Director
Professor, Political Science
Senior Advisor to the Chancellor
