The Weidenbaum Center has provided a rich intellectual environment for conducting my research on the macroeconomic effects of increasing labor’s bargaining power. The perspectives offered by quantitative sociologists have complemented my work in economics and have proved invaluable as I transition into my new role as a research economist at the Central Bank of Peru. The Center has additionally provided generous research support, enabling me to present my work at multiple national and international conferences, receive valuable feedback, and strengthen my professional and scientific networks.
― Alejandro Gonzalez Former Weidenbaum Center Graduate Affiliate and recent PhD recipient in Economics. Dr. Gonzalez has accepted a job as a research economist at the Central Bank of Peru. We wish him the best of luck in his new role!Past event videos
